Windsurfing Enthusiasts of Tidewater

Windsurfing Enthusiasts of Tidewater (WET) is the voice of all the windsurfers of the lower Chesapeake Bay area and serves as a contact for those interested in the sport.  We work in cooperation with US Windsurfing to see that launch sites stay accessible to us as well as to address legal matters such as PFD regulations.

WET hosts several events each year including:

• Regattas
• Swap meets
• Intros to teach windsurfing basics
• Weekend trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina

WET members are also responsible for keeping several of the local beaches clean.  If you are a seasoned windsurfer or just interested in finding out more about our sport, you are welcome to JOIN us in our activities. No matter if you’ve lived here all your life, you’re just passing through, or you’re thinking about moving here, check us out and come sail with us!
